I’ve started, trashed, re-written, and deleted entire posts over the past few weeks. Hell, I was all set to write my fingers off on the airplane this past week but just couldn’t get started. So here’s my weak ass attempt at getting you all up to speed on what John’s been doing:
I want to write about my experience speaking at HR Florida and some of the reasons behind my nervousness. Here’s a hint though, it had nothing to do with the topic, the venue, or my friends.
I just got back from New York City. Played chaperone to students, and almost didn’t make the flight home. Travel tip for you: Even if it’s warranted do not scream obscenities into your cell phone on the streets of Manhattan when there are Secret Service, NYPD, and other Feds in close vicinity. Lesson learned gentlemen, lesson learned.
The girls are growing up way too fast. The Maddies knows how to use her smile to get what she wants and Katherine just uses sheer persistence to get the job done. I’m starting to finally understand that I’m in trouble.
So there you have it. Nothing major, just a whole lot of work and like anything, it will all get better in time.
