I don’t know what got into me, but hey, I’m on a streak so I’m just gonna roll with it.
Earlier this week I wrote about some of the amazing similarities between companies in the country of Panama and here in the country of Miami, FL (yeah yeah, I know, it’s a local joke just roll with it OK…) Several Panamanian HR professionals shared with me similar concerns that I’ve heard over the past few years here in the U.S.
So imagine my surprise when I got an email from a colleague about this subject and a quick seminar taking place this Friday. The topic “Hiring, Firing and Finding: The Latin American Talent Pool,” is taking place just a few minutes from my office. Hell I can roll out of the rack, go there first and then hit the office.
So is this Serendipity? Mmmm I don’t know. What I can tell you is that I think the discussions are reaching a critical point in the global community and that’s exciting.
I’m gonna need to commit to becoming fully bilingual (ENG/SPAN) soon.
