Around this time of year, we honor a blogger/HR Pro/Superhero in the name of Tim Sackett as an influence in the HR Blogosphere.
And this year’s honoree is well deserved.
You see, Victorio Milian is not only an amazing individual, but he’s a good soul. How do I know this? Well you’re going to have to trust me on this one.
Over the past few years whenever we’ve had a chance to get together and chat briefly or share a quick moment on a social site, I always walk away seeing things from a calmer point of view, and a completely different perspective.
However, the one thing that I truly respect and admire in Victorio is his hustle.
Maybe it’s the fact that he lives in New York City. Or the fact that he’s got grit. He’s seen things that others haven’t seen, faced things that others haven’t faced in other parts of the country. The best part is that you’d never suspect any of it, because he’s just so darn polite. You have to look hard to see it, but it’s there and when you realize it, it’s amazing.
Victorio, I could go on and on, lauding your accolades, saying how wonderful you are, but I know that’s not you.
You influence us all by your actions, your words, and your acts of kindness. Be it your funky multilingual “Good Morning” greetings on FB, or the random posts that shed insight into the real struggles of the job seekers.
You always make me stop, think, and smile. And I can’t begin to explain my level of frustration at the woeful inadequacy of these two simply words, but Thank You!
You sir, are good people, and I’m humbled and honored to honor you today!

Well said! I got a chance to meet Victorio at a conference in 2014 and I must a greet… a true gentleman.
